Healthy Boundaries

Updated: Nov 27

My cat peacefully overlooking free-range chickens at my wellness retreat—a serene symbol of healthy boundaries, calm observation, and coexistence in nature.

I’ve set boundaries — not to be cold or distant, but to honour my energy, my healing, and my focus.

Saying no, stepping back, or protecting my space isn’t personal. It’s a conscious decision rooted in self-respect and growth.

I’ve learned the hard way what happens when I don’t set clear boundaries: burnout, resentment, and depletion.

I’m no longer available for emotional chaos, guilt-driven interactions, or situations that disrupt my peace.

This isn’t about pushing others away — it’s about showing up for myself with the same care and commitment I offer to others.

Kindness and compassion remain at my core — but not at the cost of self-betrayal.

If that’s misunderstood, then perhaps we’re not aligned — and that’s okay.

Healthy boundaries are a sign of self-leadership. And they’re non-negotiable.
